The New Digital SAT Exam
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a USA standardized test conducted by college board, a division of Preston University, headquartered in Los Angeles California since 2012.
The NEW DIGITAL SAT exam is designed to test and evaluate your knowledge of Mathematics and command of The English Language*.
The New Digital SAT exam includes two sections: the Qualitative, the Quantitative.
The Qualitative or verbal section is divided into two modules. Both modules measure the “Reading” and “Writing” skills. The Reading and Writing sections measure four academic skills: Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions.
The “Reading,” and the “Writing and Grammar”
The Reading section is designed to examine and evaluate the test takers’ reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical skills throughout short passages flowed by one question, and these short paragraphs encompass Literature, History, social studies, and science. The “Writing and Grammar” section tests and evaluates the student’s command of “Reading Comprehension, Punctuations and Fanatics, Logical Cohesion and Coherency of the Stated Ideas, and the Structural conventions” governing the English language, and these skills are officially divided in to four categories: Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions.

The quantitative section tests the students’ understanding and command of Mathematics, and it is partitioned into two sections: the No Calculator and The Calculator section. Unlike the “Math with No Calculator” section that examines your knowledge of arithmetic, for instance, the students are required to employ a scientific calculator for the questions encompassing Algebra, Calculus, and Geometry in the section of “Math with Calculator.
Relative disadvantages of The NEW DIGITAL SAT compared to the conventional SAT
Considering the style of the Digital SAT, it is impossible for a student to develop skills just by working on the currently available digital samples such as Blue BOOK provided by the College board. The currently available materials are just good enough for those students who have already achieved a score of about 1350 or 1400, and they desire to obtain a score of close to or above 1500. However, those students who have just begun their adventure in building the necessary skills, need to use conventional SAT and the books published by college board, Princton, Barron, and Kaplan to develop the fundamental skills needed and, afterwards, move to the Digital format such as Blue Book.
Please, keep in mind that I ask all the potential students to take a SAT evaluation or diagnostic exam – provided free of charge – to evaluate your skills and command of “English language and Mathematics” before we mutually agree on all terms and conditions for working on your SAT preparation project.
